I'm so hyped for this new spin-off. They really added survival core element such as crafting, cutting down trees, build houses, etc.

The base building.. I actually really like. I want that.
We got at least two separate Gatchas with hunters and buddies and then there is most likely going to be skins of some sort for building pieces and decoration packs. and that alone is pretty much everything that you would need to be profitable.
ps: maybe our own hunter we made and just characyers we could switch into
That being said. I'm sceptical of the footage. Seems like the game is more so a Genshin Impact-esk game. Even Genshin has house building and crafting stuff which is relegated to your plot of land. The unique hunters makes me think the monetisation will be gacha heroes who use 1-2 weapon types. If you like playing charge axe, it'll probably be stuck on one or two legendary heroes in the gacha pool who use the weapon for example. The gameplay will probably be a bit more simplistic too, like Genshin.
I don't wan't to play on a tiny screen without dedicated controls and experiences that make sense for that type of platform.
If this is playable on PC like Genshin maybe I'll try it, but only if its not a big ♥♥♥♥♥ gacha game also like Genshin which it will almost certainly be.
This is one of the reasons why I'm utterly against the continued porting of mobile gacha trash to PC. Because there's a sharp and more-or-less accurate divide in perception between PC games and mobile games; one is an actual game (even if the publisher has monetization) and the other is (oftentimes extremely predatory) monetization with a thin veneer of gameplay propped up in front of it.
But these ports to PC are going to end up removing that distinction and end up catching people who would otherwise know to avoid mobile games.
It costs a small fortune to buy all of Worlds cosmetics but I don't think that alone would do. More likely a rotating store with a battle pass. I wouldn't buy cosmetics for a mobile-only game, but something that took cross-platform to its limits might be more appealing.
Lets be realistic here. People are not going to play a mobile-to-PC ported game for a while and go "Omg this game I was enjoying was a mobile game? Yuck! Disgusting! Get it out of my sight!"
If they don't like what they see they will spot it right away. A PC-native game asking for your bank card information is not somehow safer than a mobile-ported game.
They are not aiming to MH players base but gacha players and mobile, the kind of people they can milk with ease, using their glorified gambling machines called gacha.
