If Glaive needed saving, it was from Rise.
They brought DT back, and bug drill so thats all I needed to see.
I doubt I will main this at launch, but maybe as a secondary weapon.
3 questions I've only played world and rise
1.What's difference between World/Rise and 4U/GU IG function? What is "intended state" for IG in previous title
2.What is reddit attack? (I'm assuming it's the aerial spinning attack once you have all 3 kinsect buff???)
3.People really hate aerial attack that much? if so why? I thought it was fun but it just suck damage wise.

watch at 1:20, no more helicopter loop.
Gameplay will be like 4U now: mount if needed to get an opening, or just hit the monster normally if not needed. It's the weapon's whole identity, to be able to get an opening on something like Crimson Fatalis's head, but all of its damage is locked behind grounded attacks.
Watching Wukong gameplay makes me look forward to the more acrobatic staff actions in Wilds.
IG is not the only weapon got gutted, CB got SAED is out of the dish too, now you could only do it after an AED, it's so stupid chaining 2 slow moves together like that.
It was my main in 4U
That's literally its identity.
Its useful for mounting, BUT it hasn't been for the past 3 games: GenU, World, and Rise.
GenU, literally used Aerial SwAxe, mounts like CRAZY.
Lance charge jump, ALSO mounts like crazy.
Its identity has never been "aerial", its literally a weapon that has, and always will have, a jumping ability.
So what you say proof me right that they too coward to remove this weapon from a series because they already has other weapon that can do better jumping attack. Do you know why they add aerial combo in World? It's for set IG apart from other weapons because they add Glider mantle in the game so every weapon can have a jumping ability. And what do you mean it wasn't useful in Rise? Did you forgot how to put monster into Wywern Riding stage ? By use Silkbind attack and do aerial damage and guess what weapon that can do that without waiting for Wirebug to recharge? INSECT GLAIVE.
hey can just use restrictions like they use in Rise by you can use the same move 3 times before you force to hit the ground trade with aerial attack can easily open a wound and bring back Kinsect slash as a Aerial Focus Strike to deal an actual good damage so player choose between stay on a ground for no reason and fly on the air and being fun.
You know what they can just reveal only 13 weapons and has an announcement say "We cut off Insect glaive because it is so trash and we never like them"
Why I want to use Insect glaive on a ground when I can just hop on Seikret and switch to other weapon that can do it better. it have like what? A 13 OF THEM
Using the 3 buffs to give you more advantage over the other weapons, like Flinch Free and extra Earplugs (World edition)
2 styles of play: buffed with red and non-buffed.
Different kinsects with different affects/abilities, be it cut or blunt.
They still haven't lost their identity in being the one that can jump.
While Lance is a good mount weapon with a high mount damage, I doubt a lot of people are jumping to mount the monsters when its identity has always been the "stick close to the monster and block with the shield'.
If your issue is that "its an aerial weapon", you're already wrong as it isn't and never was since it came out in 4U.
