Personally I feel that the best weapon mode is AKs and AR15s Weapons Pack http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42970 but that is my taste not yours and you have F O O K(sorry I had to space it out it got sensored too close to ♥♥♥♥ in our over protective society) so Caliber wont jive with that so you have to get the non Caliber versions. You should really go though the Nexus yourself and look for things that you like and try them that is what I did as only I know what Im looking for.
I'm actually still downloading all the DLC, so I'm just planning for now.
But thank you.
and the nexus wiki has a small list of "must have" mods , other than that just look through the mod catagories @nexus always read the readmes and descriptions so you'll know what works with what , also read the comments to see what issues people are having with the mod , only install them one at a time to make sure they dont break the game (easy trouble shooting when your only dealing with one mod rather than 10)

the first time start up is best to do witha unmodded game , go through caracture creation exit docs house , just to make sure every thing is good with the vanilla game then go back and start tweaking it ,wmx can cause some glitching with textures on the guns and add some stutter when used with pn on lower end machines
