Dropping them is a waste when you can make some caps by selling the ones that you do not want.
I think that there is a mod on the Nexus some place that disables the ESMs of the UE that you do not want other wise they are sort of hard coded into the game.I cant say for sure though I have the orginal version with all the DLC purchased seprately except Courier stash which never interested me.
The quest DLCs simply let you know that they are there and where to go you must activate them to be lead to the starting point or go to the location on the map to start them and it will be very clear when you do they make ceratin that you wish to beagin the DLC quests Dead Money,Honest Hearts,Old World Blues and Lonsome Road.
The reason they show up at the same time when you begin a new game is because they also each add 5 points to the level cap and perks you can aquire which are part of the enitre game not just that given DLC.These thigns are useful for the game even if you do not want to play the DLC right away.
If you need help managing the many quests you can always go to the Fallout Wiki New Veags page and jot down the names of all of the quests so you know which ones drive the main story all though in most cases it is fairly obvious what quest are story and which are side. And the mian quest has several diffrent branches and endings.

The stuff about the quests makes sense though, I guess I can live with that. Do you know if there's maybe a place I can stash the weapons and get to them later?
They must meant for you to start with one stash at least becuase you alway got one of the 4 dependng on where you bought the game so choosing just one is not really making the game imbalanced.
I have only the Vault 13 stash and it seems fairly balanced to me.
You putting far too much thought into this either sell them or drop them all if you want more challange.Dont use any weapons only fists you can do that if you want to none is stopping you just drop or sell things tht you do not want but selling is smarter becuase you can use the coin to buy something you do want or need.
Or better yet, keep in mind I would still like an actual fix to the issue rather than in-game workarounds.
I'm sorry, I didn't realize that asking a question meant I needed my hand held. Do you have to be a jerk, or do you know how to mind your own business unless you want to be helpful?
how hard is it to simply not carry what you dont want or place it some place for later use if you to use it.Which by your own words is a contradction becuase you feel that the iteams unbalance the game so if they do why keep them.
I like that the game adds all the items at once and annoys lazy people I think thats awsome.
