These 2 Mods make the game 10x better!
Just to start I wanna say that this is basically my all time favorite game. I beat it 3-4 times on Xbox before I ever got a PC and now that I have one I'm playing with a few mods to see what kind of additions the Mod community have come up with. First off I'm not the kind of person that likes OP mods that give you a gun that dumps on everything or any kind of huge advantage mods. I just wanted gameplay extention. Also I've found these open world bethesda games to be somewhat unstable so I didn't want a whole ton of mods either. Lastly I haven't gotten to any of the DLC areas of the game so I cannot vouche for the stability at that point.

Okay the 2 mods I got are called Project Nevada and A World Of Pain.

Project Nevada- This mod completely blows me away, not only is this a fantastic mod but this is easily the best mod I have ever seen in any Bethesda game. It was a group of guys that decided they'd like some gameplay changes such as a dynamic crosshair instead of the simple default 2 arrows, a sprint button, and Max Payne style bullet time (without the jump dodges). The pack also makes it so that you can get cybernetic implants that doctors can install into your body that give attribute additions based on whichever implant you choose. They also went across the modding community and hand picked a bunch of community-made weapons and armor that they thought were well made and balanced and put them into the game. They added a whopping 40-50 (more or less) new items which got me really pumped. When I looted a Deagle from a wastelander I was ecstatic, as well as when I saw a merchant selling a P90 running off 5mm ammo.

Also they decided the game needed to be a lot harder, which I didn't so much agree with. They actually created new higher level enemy archetypes which I really like though. I'm pretty sure in the vanilla game there weren't any fiend badasses, and this is a very welcome addition to the difficulty. The bright side is the mod comes with an in-game menu that lets you tweak all the game settings they changed, so if the difficulty change is too much you're welcome to change it back, as well as change some other options if you yourself decide to make a few changes. The devs on this mod worked very hard to make it high quality and it really shows. Go type project nevada in on google and show these guys some love.

A World Of Pain- Being a NV veteran who's seen a good amount of what the game has to offer, this was exactly what I was looking for. This mod adds over 114 (as advertised) new dungeons into the game free for you to go in and loot! So far for me I've found the dungeons to be very creative and the modder was even thoughtful enough to put notes in each dungeon to tell the story of said dungeon. The dungeons are all pretty high in difficulty though so they can be difficult at lower levels. Especially if you're running PN at the same time. What I really like about this mod is that the dev thought about the placement, such as there being a dungeon overrun by giant ants right under the racetrack that is also overrun by them. This does nothing but add to the already rich environment this game brings.

If you read all that I appreciate you sticking through the wall of text lol. Also if I inspire anyone to check these mods out let me know what you think after playing a bit.

Oh and I forgot, if anyone does go get these mods MAKE SURE YOU READ THE HOW TO INSTALL GUIDES FOR EACH ONE! There are enough posts for this game of people's games breaking and I'd prefer not to be the provoker for people to run into more issues.
These sound sweet! I'll have to get 'em for my next playthrough. I wonder if there are similar mods to Fallout 3...

Implants exist in the default game, just go talk to Dr. Usanagi at the New Vegas Medical Clinic (just a little East of Freeside). They cost a lot, but you don't need a mod for them, not that mods are a bad thing (I have like 8 or 9 on at the moment).

Those are different from what they added. The Implants are much more plentiful and can be placed in your legs arms body and head. 2 In each. Plus they made it so when your science level is high enough you can level up your implants for greater effect.
