Dead Money Villa Crash

I'm playing Dead Money and just completed all of the companion quests. So now I'm trying to start up the Gala but I can't go anywhere outside the Villa. Any exit I try to go to and it crashes during the loading screen

Try saving near the door, the game loads super fast once it starts letting you play...I did that till i got into the casino... BUT keep doing this....Dead money may need an update since it is a bit lagging...

I had a very similar problem, I was crashing everytime I tried to go into Puesta del Sol for the first time with Christine. I looked through several forums to find a solution, and tried a couple of little simple things.
