I have a question about perception
Does perseption effect accuracy in when you are aimed down sights? like if i was ads and had only 1 perception and the crosshairs/iron sights were on my desired target, would I consitantly hit the same spot? (granted im not shooting a shot gun). And also, what type of accuracy does it affect?

Perception affects the distance at which your character is able to detect other creatures, it does not increase V.A.T.S or regular accuracy at all. Accuracy is affected by weapon skill and is decreased if you're below the weapon's strength requirement.

Aside from the weapons skill the accuracy wwill surely also be affected the the "Scatter" statistics of the used weapon (the lower, the better)

A lot of guides will tell you that it does increase your ability with ranged weapons, but that's just because each points adds to your ranged weapon skills (I think 2 or 4). However, it's a ridiculously small amount and you can get it to 100 with 1 perception easily enough.

The detection is fairly useless, and if you want it, you can just get ED-E instead. He has great detection skills.

There's really just one reason to have high perception, and that's the perk Better Criticals. It just happens to be worth it. That's why the good guides tell you to start with 5 perception so you can get 6 perception with the implant and get one of the very best perks in the game.
