Can I buy ultimate edition just for DLC's?

I have Fallout New Vegas already but I don't have the DLCc so... Can I buy ultimate edition just for the DLCs and stay with the other copy in my inventory?

its been my experiance that when buying bundled packages only items you dont have are activated and nothing is added to your inventory unless it specifically says otherwise

you should keep your saves. Maybe you should make a backup file: C:\Users\NAME\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV\Saves

You can buy the UE to get the DLC.

You won't, however, get an extra copy of the base game or a separate library entry, assuming your current copy is from the same region as the UE you're buying.

Any save backups and such mentioned by the fellow above me is unnecessary, as the only change that happens is Steam downloading the DLC. The installation path, save file location, etc. remain the same.

last time when I buy this game I add DLC, but still block me. You cannot buy because you buy some parts two times. OK I remove DLC one by one and after deleted all DLC from my basket Pass me throught. NOw when I am looking for this game in shoop, game is fully activated for purchasing for me. What the hell is this..?

I already had F:NV and bought the Ultimate Edition on the summer sales and had no problem with it. It started to download the dlcs to my already existing F:NV copy.

i have the regular NV with only the 99 cent couriers stash DLC (i had an extra doller and that pack has some great guns) but when i went to look at the Ultimate Edition because it was on sale, it said i already owned it which i dont, and i dont have the DLC's in it

It's because Steam doesn't count the dlcs. If you have the original game, then it will appear as owned even if you don't have the dlcs.
