In the nvse readme.txt it says:
'2. Launch NV via running nvse_loader.exe. Enabling the Steam Community option (enabled by default) will allow you to launch the game via Steam's standard UI'
I thought this meant what I want? I probably misunderstood that. To bad.
Thanks
This should work because when you launch the game from Steam, it looks for FalloutNVLauncher.exe and runs whatever file has that name. If the NVSE loader has the same name as the New Vegas launcher, Steam should run the NVSE loader. That's what I did for Skyrim, so it should be the same.
All of my friends run games from the Steam UI.
Will this disable achievements?
Do they mean Steam Cloud synchronization? I've never once heard of a "Steam Community option" before.
