Always always ALWAYS crashing when shopping at Gun Runners

So i love new vegas for the crafting my own ammo, breaking down normal for the hand load which is better obviously. and i love the gun runners cause they sell the materials I need.
but absolutely without fail buying primer or whatnot crashes the game.
who has this issue. how can I fix it? or must I just resort to console commands?

Are you just buying primer by itself or selling and buying a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of items at the same time? I had the same issues and got around it by buying/selling things in smaller quantities.

it might be the cases. and ya i've tried buying one thing at a time. it's definetly a specific item. I had this issue last time i got into this game almost a year ago. i know it has to do with buying specific items from the shop.
