Error code:80

Having the error:80 code pop up and it will not start the game, yet i was playing it only 10 mins ago and had to restart due to freeze, any help or suggestions?

i am having the same problem and at first i thought it was due to mods but then realised that wouldn't be the case seeing as when i first started playing about 4-5 days ago when i bought it i immediately loaded up a mod list so i didn't have to look at the puffy default faces and worked fine other than a few minor freezes here and there but that is just my cpu. and now all i get when i try loading the game is "error 80"

redownloading it worked for me, also try restarting your computer, i havent had any problems since

yeah i looked into it more and found out that "error 80" has nothing at all to do with the game but with steam after a quick restart of steam everything was perfectly fine.

I was having this problem all the time.I tried the "verify local game cache" to no avail.But what worked for me was switching to "offline mode" on steam.All I did was click that and bam,no more error code 80.Hope this helps someone.

As I said 3 years ago restart your steam error 80 is a general issue with steam so exit and relaunch it.

Also, redownloading steam is simple, uninstall steam the go to steam community webpage and reinstall.
