The voice actors of New Vegas
Time to show some love for what I consider an under appreciated job when it comes to the inner workings of Fallout. The voice actors. My question to you fellow wasteland wanderers is this, who are your favorite voice actors and why? Do you follow these actors other work? Maybe there was a point in the game when you were listening to a specific NPC and it dawned on you where you heard his/her voice before. Describe that experience. Also, where do you think the voice acting in the game excels and where do you think it just falls flat? You can include examples and actors from other Fallouts as well.

My favorite VA in New Vegas is Laura Bailey. Anyone familiar with her work would know that she both voiced and acted for many years across all different kinds of media. If you played any game in the past 10 years chances are you've heard her voice at some point. When it comes to New Vegas she voices Julie Farkas, Lt. Carrie Boyd, Dr. Usanagi, and various others including the voice of the female courier. I first took note of her acting in Fullmetal Alchemist, and it's pretty amazing how she can alter her voice for many of her parts. I also dig Yuri Lowenthal's work (he does Ringo among many others) and to me Matthew Perry will always be Benny rather than Chandler Bing. He really embraced that part. Plus he's a huge Fallout fan to boot!

My first Aha! moment was hearing Liam Neeson's voice in Fallout 3. His voice sounded so appropriate for the part. And hey, it's Liam friggin' Neeson!

Hands down...Felicia Day as Veronica...even if I dislike the Veronica character. Kris Krisofferson ....such an awesome and unforgettable voice. My issue with the voicing in general, especially FNV...too repetitive! Lets see some more variety...not necessairily celebrity voices.

Kris Kristofferson is definitely cool. His voice has this gravelly quality that gives an air of gravitas to Chief Hanlon. Plus he kind of even looks like him!

Upon playing Skyrim, I noticed a familiar voice of a Mage...For ages, I couldn't place it, then it dawned on me, that it was the actor of Joshua Graham, the burning man..he was in Skyrim too...during the mission to save the people from their nightmares at Dawnstar..the sorcerer there who takes you to Nightcaller temple is the guy. His voice is gritty, and makes for a good character.

And of course, Caesar sounds pretty cool too. The voices, to me, sound commanding and fitting of their characters' status. Good job devs.

It needed more Steve Blum. None of that "Additional Voices" ♥♥♥♥. Make him the main character or something, christ. I need my grimdark gritty protagonist yelling about how he's going to kill everyones ♥♥♥♥♥.

I knew I heard Steve Blum in there somewhere. Thought I was hearing things.
Lets see some more variety...not necessairily celebrity voices.
I appreciate the celebrity voices most when their casting makes sense. Wayne Newton as Mr. New Vegas for example. We already subconciously make the connection between him and his character because most of us are used Wayne Newton being associated with Las Vegas anyway. That's what I consider inspired casting. But generaly, I prefer voice actors over celebrities as they just tend to sound natural and you avoid falling into that corny-ass Disney-fied rut of "when the snooty cat, and the courageous dog, with the celebrity voices meet for the first time in reel three.." syndrome that can break immersion.

I have find this small part of video on the people and actor they have make the game, i view some actor i remember, and find it strange to listen english talking, i love better the voice in my language, and in english i view the man they make mr.house are an old man, but in my language i think the man are more young, it's peharp thing like this this they make me finding all this strange,

anyway i have found this small video for the people they want to view it, and Veronica are in this too...

Danny Trejo as Raul was probably the most amusing voice I know of. :3 Although having Doc Mitchell have the same voice actor as Captain/Commander Bailey in ME2/3 was also amusing. XD

Maybe I'm biased because she's my favorite of the companion characters, but I thought Rachel Roswell was great as Cass - she seemed to be really talking rather than reading and she didn't overemphasize when she was saying 'dirty words' the way some of the other voice actors did.

Overall I don't think anyone was bad, but it was too obvious that it was a few people doing the bulk of the voices, and I would have preferred they somehow get more voice actors in just to help avoid that.
