New Vegas not Responding!
I have had graet luck with games on steam in the 4 months I have bought them here until now
after abot 2-15 minutes an odd window of time for something like this to occur my game just decides it's going to not work, I know for a fact it is not the mods as I have been playin with them for the past two days with no issues yet it keeps doing this, It is really frustrating considering the time I have put into this in the 5 days I have had it, just for this to happen.
while im not so much looking for help as I'm seeing how many people have this issue help would be apprieciated!

Do you have trying to make a validation of the game file by steam, sometime it's can help, but on this type of problème, it's usually a mod they cause thing like this, try to view if you have add new mods in the game, try to disable it, (but not delete it, (just uncheck the box beside the name in the data file windows in the main menu),

if the game start after, it's because one of your mods are bad, or your load order are not well, sometime it's just the load order they make the difference, but to find the mods they cause problem, you need to disable the mods you have put and they don't come with the game,

after, enable it one by one, and in each time after enable one, try to lauch the game until the game go wrong again, you will find the mods they cause problem...

Yeah that is what is happening to me usually if I relaunch it after about 15-30 mins it is fine but this time it wasnt and I know it's not the mods I have been running the same mods for several days with no problems

I had been playing three hours straight with no issue then it started and rule of thumb for most mod related system problems is it will crash sometime shortly after you start playing or at the startup first time was three hours in second was 15 minutes in and third was 5 minutes in, very inconsistent with a mod related issue, then again at the time I was playing steam was synching several files and that may have interfered with it

I've had issues where my AV software was causing the game to lag and eventually just lock up. Try turning off your AV.

Its a common occurance in FNV. The developers were to lazy to actually work on the game they were too busy writting the same stuff over and over.

Your safest bet is to uninstall and make a fresh install. Then find some stability mods on Nexus, because modders have fixed what Obsidian could not and would not.

Not to necro an old thread. But if you knew what you were talking about, then you'd know the dev's of FNV did more in the amount of time they were given than Bethesda ever will. Seeing as how Obsidian was only given a year to develop compared to the six year ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that was fallout 3. I'd recommend OP to take a look at

It's a possibility that the mod may help it's just a drag and drop esp for your load list, from the lead designer and project director for FNV. Since ya know. Obsidian "couldn't or wouldn't"
