Iron sights problem?
I have this problem where when i left click to aim down the sights, the sights aren't lined up. Also the >< cursor thing still shows up and thats where the bullets shoot. I reinstalled because I know that it didn't come like that but it is still there.

Just that I've never actually noticed it with those three. Its either a very small misalignment, or I adjust automatically.

Very strange. I seem to recall that in a very early version of the game, the cowboy repeater worked ok, but I may be wrong. is your resolution 16:9?

Yes, it is.

It's probably just because you move around while using Guns. Try crouching and staying still. If you aim, Switch to third person & then switch back you'll see your aiming crosshair while on the iron sights, it shows you where your bullets will go when you shoot, if you move around you'll see your guns iron sights swerve around and the crosshair will stay in the middle of the screen.
I hope I helped.

He has played over 1,4k hours of New Vegas. I'm fairly sure he knows how the mechanics work.

That depends on the intelligence on the person, not the playtime.
You're being very melodramatic.

I don't even know what to say to that.

If one has no clue how the very basic mechanics work, do you think they would spend 1400 hours in the game?

Hahahaha, Mauno is correct on all counts. I'm talking about first person, standing still, crouched, actively aiming, as well as meeting all weapon requirements.Nothing to do with weapon sway. Thanks for the suggestion though, despite calling me an idiot.

That most likely is because of your mods. That never happens to my guns when I use them. Probably project nevada screwed up something.
Warrior2023 Jul 29, 2013 @ 3:14am
YEP, that's your mods.
jjsyue Jul 29, 2013 @ 6:00am
Okay I will uninstall the mods after I finish them to see if it makes a difference, but for the time being I am forced to play in third person :( Anyways, thank you guys for your responses :)

That's normal for Mauno. :3

On topic, I prefer not using TIS in this game for some reason. It seems to bother me more than it did in those 550 hours in MW3's multiplayer...I blame Fallout 3.

( DOESN'T INCLUDE A FIX.) The sights being misaligned on the lever-actions and varmint rifle (And a few other weapons) is correct, if you aim down the sights, toggle thirdperson, then go back to first person, the crosshair isn't where the point at the end of the gun is aiming. Also, the bullets WILL go where the crosshair is aiming, not the iron-sight. I know this is how it is because I've shot at a distant target with the cowboy repeater where I thought the crosshair would be and not the iron-sight. I feel this strengthens my hypothesis because almost every shot I fired that way hit. (Posted this for anyone who shows up even though it's been long than a year since the last post.)

Also a few of the iron sights aim slightly too low, so if you're going for a headshot you need to aim slightly lower.
