Probably the Avenger minigun with 5mm handload ammo (no damage is sacrificed with this ammo as appose to AP ammo) the -10 DT is effective still also..The Avenger is north,north east of bitter Springs

The Gattling Laser is another contender with Laser commander perk and Max charged Cells....

Ugh, very hard is terrible. You should considering getting some mods that make the game challenging, instead of using the in-game bullet sponge setting.

Anyway, on topic. Paciencia + sneak do the trick for me. Now that I think about it, Paciencia and sneak solve most hostile problems in the game.

Nicest way I know to kill a deathclaw. you really get a feeling of "sport hunting" with the iron sight... or a hunting rifle with jsp round work pretty well too

Deathclaw Gauntlet always works best for me. Just stick it in their face and they'll die. Eventually.

My style of play is sneaky so I dont have that much trouble killing deathclaws by using an AM rifle, gobi sniper rifle aiming at their heads. My gun skills are pretty high and my critical hits multiplier high as well. Problem with this is that you can only deal with 1 or mostly 2 at a time. If they are more just use a damn fatman and blow them up using big kid ammo. Whatever is left of them you can easily wipe with the light machine gun.

But yeah, rule #1 against deathclaws: Dont engage them rambo style head to head or you will regret it.
