But when you cannot die no matter what you do, as in God mode, it doesn't increase your real playing skills, it spoils any skills you have developed already, you become lazy, and it gives you no real satisfaction because you haven't really achieved anything. You know you haven't really won.
So I never use God mode and I don't recommend anyone else using it either.
Also, is having to reload really that big of a deal?
As for God mode, why would you need it? Just play the vanilla version for a while and you'll have so much ammo and caps that you'll never run out. Plus you'll be so powerful that you'll laugh at Deathclaws. I love punching Deathclaws to death.with my powerfist. That's why you need mods, to make the game challenging.
I utterly sympathise - Sonic Spinball and Peggle do not work and I have been unable to get help. I play Xbox a lot and also Vita, and all their games work fine.
Sorry about the whole 'replying to a comment 4 years later' thing, just wanted to make sure if anyone stumbled across this post in the future (like I did today) that the other side of the subject is discussed.
You know, I'll be honest, I play both Skyrim and Fallout a lot on god mode.
Reason being I have anxiety problems so severe that just the threat of being able to die causes me a lot of stress. I like to play games because it's an interactive story, but until I'm SUPER familiar and comfortable with a game I just can't bring myself to take away the cheats.
That being said, I do try to avoid main quests or DLCs when I have cheats on so I can eventually achieve something without any spoilers, but it takes a while usually.
I know that this post is like YEARS old and this is kind of silly, but even so I wanted to express my thoughts, because I think it's important that firstly people are respected and their questions are answered even though you don't like their methods, and secondly that you don't assume that everyone plays games just for challenge and achievement.
Fact of the matter remains that someone was looking for an answer to a question about how to cheat, man. Personally I understand cheating in games like Fallout more than Borderlands, because Fallout has a compelling story and vibe, whereas gameplay is the only real good part of Borderlands (or so I've heard at least). That's just me though. I'm not in these games for 'the kicks'.
i know this post is from 11 years ago at this point. But typing out an essay to not answer the question because you don't like using cheats is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb.
Give the guy a break
I think you should always leave tgm off when you do your final quit save and enable it again normally when you log back in, there might be issues with it resetting something you leave on when it's something as game changing compared to just FoV tweaks.
Can't really help to fix it if you've already played over the working saves.
Okay massively sorry for contributing but my god what is it with the self-aware necroposting on New Vegas forums, like come on my guy these people must be adults now and hopefully gotten a lot more socially aware
