Rotating Heads (SOLVED)
Hi, I have an awful bug, the NPCs heads rotate 360º vertically, like clockwise. Also they fly or are bad placed over the scenario.

My PC is:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32x
CPU:DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 2666 MHz (8 x 333)
RAM: 8Gb
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+ (512 MB)

What can I do?

1) Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+ (512 MB): fix it.
2) The bug will probably be fix in the nxt update if there ever is 1.

Hi Novacheezburga, I don't get your first point:

This game is never going to get updated again, everyone knows that.

Could you post a screenshot of your own? I thought this glitch was fixed years ago.

Hi Mauno, thanks for your answer. Well basically is exactly the same glitch. The guy with his head rotating and flying over the chair.

Well, that glitch got a lot of attention when the game was released... so I just assumed that they fixed it.

This is weird... maybe I have rests of old versions of the game?! I just bought the game yesterday, the Ultimate version.

Just use Steam's screenshot feature. I find it quite interesting this could still happen, especially since you own the UE, and there's no chance you'd have an older version.

I've also bought the UE-version on steam. Just installed it but now I'm afraid to start the game. That glitch scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me when I played NV for the first time.

Actually it would be if he was running a old pirated version of the game, but nevermind I see it's in his Library. I thought this was fixed a long time ago as well.

Babeco, you can detele your or remove your mydocuments configuration files and re-launch the Fallout New Vegas Launcher have it reconfigure your settings. This will replace those configuration files with new ones.

Remove FALLOUT ini, Falloutprefs and Renderinfo and restart the game. You could even go as far as removing the Fallout_default configuration file and downloading a fresh one from Steam through verify integrity cache from System properties by right clicking Fallout New Vegas>properties and click on the Local files tab. Then relaunch the game.

If you're not sure where you FALLOUT, Falloutprefs ini's are; path is here.

C:\Users\"computername"\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV

Unless you have mods installed look there first.

Did your version of the game want Steam installed?

Trick question. :)

You see that little mouse icon next to our names on the upper edge of the posts? That means the poster has the discussed game attached to their Steam account. A bit more convenient than having to check profiles, and works even when they're made private.

And yeah, of course I only meant legal copies. Talking about piracy is very much against the community hub rules and should be reported with the.. uh, report feature.

It's interesting that OP's profile shows he hasn't actually played New Vegas yet, not even for 0,1 hours and only linked a screenshot from 2011 in the first post.
Crix May 13, 2013 @ 11:21am
^Intresting didn't know that about the mouse icon. Noted. :) Thanks.

I only noticed it a few days ago myself, hah.

Solved! I tried with pirate copies in the past and have this bug, so I decided to buy the game. The problem was solved when I delete the mydocuments Fallout files.

Thank you very much to all of you for your time. And specially to Crix for the good fix trick.
