Horrific buzzing sound from light sources
I'm getting an extremely loud buzzing noise from any lamp or neon sign (indoors or outdoors). It's so bad it's rendering the game unplayable. I've managed to determine the Electro City mod is NOT the cause, and I have no other audio or lighting mods installed. Can anyone help me out with this?
It seems to depend if I am under or facing a light source. I can stand next to a lamp or neon sign, turn away from it and the buzzing almost vanishes, but if I happen to be facing the same direction as one, I can be deafened from miles away. I cannot find any sound effects in the data folder that match this or I'd try just deleting them. It's not possible to just circuit round them, because if I'm in a building with overhead lights, the buzzing is constant.
I should stress this isn't a 'hum' like you'd get with fluorescent lights in real life, it's excruciatingly loud, and if I turn down my effects volume too far I can't hear anything. A lot of hte audio effects seem disproportionately loud in this game (howling winds, tumbleweeds etc) but the lights are the only thing causing real issues.

I just ran into the same problem. Did you ever manage to figure out what caused it? I assumed it was a problem with Electro City.

Hey, sorry for taking so long, but I've been abroad without steam. Just incase you never got a solution - I remember it was a checkbox somewhere in wrye bash/flash- something about sound attenuation that needed to be unchecked when creating a new bashed patch. Sorry if that's a little vague - I no longer have any of this stuff installed.

Hey! sorry to revive a dead post but to elaborate a little bit more on what thegrimfandango said basically when you create your bashed ptach using wyre bash/flash you wanna go to the tweak assorted tab and uncheck the sound attenuation fix
