Remappping Hotkeys????
So I'm a leftie, and have always remapped my keyboard setup to the numpad on the right, as it is what feels the most natural and comnfortable for me.

But as you may know you can't remap the hotkeys (1-8) wich makes changeing weapons and use of stimpacks a unnecessary fiddlely proces in the pib-boy.

So does anyone know if there is a way the "force" a remap of the hotkeys??

Unfortunately no. However, you can actually bind weapons, apparel items, and AID items (such as stimpaks) to the number keys on the top of the keyboard. Simply go into your Pip-Boy, go to the item (say, a stimpak). You then hold number '1', and a box will show up on the right side of your pipboy. You then, while holding '1', click the 'stimpak' item in your menu, and it will be assigned to '1'. So now while you're running around, you just hit '1', and you'll use a stimpak. Same for if you assign it to a weapon - you'll switch to that weapon when you hit '1'.

For mapping the controls such as forward, backward, ect, if you hit 'esc', go to settings, controls, then 'action mapping', you can set whatever key you want for the different commands. You can even change out the controls for your mouse if you click 'device' at the bottom right corner while in 'action mapping' menu. Have fun!

thanks for the reply, but what you say I already knew. What I'm asking about is if you can change the keystroke for the 1-8 hotkeys, as they are useless if you have a setup as I have, because I'm left-handed.

In short is there a .ini file or a mod that allows you to change the key the hotkeys are tied to.
