First time playing. What resolution should I set it to?

The game auto-detected my graphics capabilities and set it to Ultra High, but the resolution it set it to was 1280x720 Letterbox. I know this is a very old game, so should I just leave it at that or bump it up to full 1920x1080?

dude i cant even get it to go full screen. legit my screen is the size of a switch screen and nothing ive looked up on google and youtube are helping me. Any tips?

Start game, click settings and edit it there before you click play

ive played the majority of my hours in this game on old ass hardware bro its a whole different experience and one you will miss if you ever upgrade

Exactly, traveling the movaje a 15 fps is truly a unforgetable experience... I will miss it soon.

Thank you all for the advice. I set it to full 1920x1080. I also accidentally shot Sunny Smiles' dog during that gecko quest. I guess I already suck at this game.

I learned how to use it last night through trial and error LOL. Definitely makes kills a lot easier, except for that guy who made me climb the mountain and kill all the geckos to save his imaginary daughter. Fighting him wasn't fun. I had to reload a quicksave a few times before I finally killed him.
