Minimum/Recommended Levels for DLCs?
Are there minimum and/or recommended levels for any or all of the DLCs?

I think it says when you're about to take the quest. Dead Money suggests you be at least at level 20, I think, and the rest are about the same.

OK, I'll be sure to watch out for that. (Sometimes I miss things, like when NPCs tell me that I'll probably be killed if I go that-a-ways. Then I find out why ... ) Thanks, and good hunting!

Honest Hearts is fine even at about level 5.

The other three should be played in release order (DM -> OWB -> LR) after level 15 or so, on the first playthrough at least.

There's one situation where I think you should wait a bit with HH, and that's if you're playing pure melee/unarmed. It can be a bit tough that way. With guns it's very easy though.

I'm already up to 5 so I'd love to get into "Honest Hearts." How do I do that?

Have you reached Vegas yet?

If not, I'd suggest you keep following the path shown by the main quest.

Not yet, so I'll do that. Thanks!

After you do reach the Vegas area, the quest that will take you to Zion is "Happy Trails Expedition".
If you are going to do HH, there is a weight restriction. I strip down to nothing since you get equiptment almost immediately. Survival skills shine here. Though there is so much food stuff etc,. hardcore is not difficult. Provided you don't go melee hardcore that is.

Only thing that can make hardcore a pain is lack of doctor's bags. Only thing I usually bother stocking up on before heading to Zion.

old world blues is the most fun to complete at level 6-9. You'll struggle at the start but once you find you're way through the enemies, you'll level very quick. By the end of the dlc is was level 20 and had tons of bottle caps. Btw, it's the best dlc I ever played ;)

I just finished HH at level 25. Fairly easy at that level. I did have some rough patches, but mostly because I'm an energy weapons guy, and the game gimps energy weapons. As in Joshua can take out a yao guai with one .45 bullet, but it takes me about 10 to 12 shots of a Q-35 to do the same, with a skill of 100.
