freezing at jacobstown

Im doing the quest where you have to escort the kings dog to jacobs town, but when i approach it the game just...freezes, i dont have any mods or anything so i have no idea why its freezing -advice is needed

Im having the same problem, having found anything yet other than its the entire area, quest related or otherwise...

i had this happen to me on the strip, trying to enter the omerta's casino. i abandoned the quest and came back after doing a few others and it was working again. you may have to do the same and pray. validating the game cache might help, but will reset options to default, i think.

i like the sound of the praying idea, but i havent tried going there since i created this thread, but considering that i havent touched any of the files for nv it may be my only option

I had this with Doc Mitchells house, never got it fixed on the save. It usually means an error in your savefile. Could be caused by mods but not always and either way it's niot fixable. You need to load a save from before the bug or ignore the quest.
