Duration of Skill Modifiers
Been playing FNV for a week or so. I have tried other RPG's such as Skyrim and Oblivion but this for me is the most absorbing. Think I just prefer guns, tech etc as supposed to swords, dragons and magic. That said I wouldn't rule out a return to the Elder Scrolls games if the RPG bug bites deep during my time in The Mojave Wasteland. Anyway the reason I'm posting is to ask a quick question on skill modifiers - specifically how long they last. Some it's obvious, some it isn't. For example

Healing Powder PER-3, HP+3 (18s)

Therefore one dose of Healing Powder modifies the relevant skills/attributes etc for 18 seconds. Easy. Less obvious are things such as

Ant Nectar STR+4, CHR-2, INT-2
Buffout HP+60, END+3, STR+2

Neither of these gives any clue as to how long the effect lasts. A bit of googling and a skim of the FNV wiki has suggested they last for 4 minutes (real time I'm assuming). However, nowhere in the game can I see this information i.e. nowhere in the Pip Boy. To me it seems strange why some modifiers clearly say how long they last while others don't. Yes, you can sit and time them or read the wiki, but why don't they just say how long they last in the game? Am I missing a screen or something obvious to more experienced RPG'rs.

Cheers,

PaulC.

ps. I am becoming addicted to New Vegas Radio!

This table shows those values.

Aye, was just wondering if the same info is actually available "in game" i.e. without the need to resort to the Wiki....but thanks anyway for the link.
