How do i make Fallout: New Vegas less scary?

I use to own the game on the PS3, but immediately sold it after seeing the ants in this game. Now, that I have the ultimate edition of the game on PC I want to play it again, but its really scary. Is there any way to make it less scary? Like putting in a enemy replacer to take out the ants or the flying creatures. Or make a re-skin to make them less scary. Please help.
Also if you know how to do this for the spiders in Skyrim as well please tell me

Seriously, creatures that look just like that or WORSE are within centimetres of you right now. There are creatures that live in the space between your skin and your eyelashes. Your bedding is full of tiny mites that live off your shed skin.

Videogame versions that ought to collapse under their own weight during moult shouldn`t scare you.

Getting companions also helps for me.

put your game down to very easy, get a flamer and burn to hell, not so scary then.

There are some mods to replace the skyrim spiders with spidermen. But imo the spidermen are much much scarier. Even scarier than emo Toby Mcguire-spiderman doind that weird dance through the street.

I find a pack of Deathclaws, Alpha Deathclaw, Queen Radscorpion much more unnerving then a simple group of giant ants. =P

Saying that Im not to fond of the spiders at the start of Skyrim. lol..
