Check your Steam account details (top right of the screen), and look under Licenses + Subscriptions for Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition

Did you already own the original Fallout: NV? From what I've heard is that that the Ultimate Edition is listed as Fallout: New Vegas in your steam library. If you check your DLCs it should list all the of them.

Also make sure your that your DLCs are checked in the Data Files otherwise FNV will not load them when you start the game.
Go to your library. Right click New Vegas. Click View Downloadable Content.

What does it say?

It says under Licenses+Subscriptions that its the ultimate edition, but its not listed like this in my library. As for checking if i have the dlc, i can't do that. The game was gifted to me. I own a Macbook pro and I'm waiting for the parts for my first PC. I added the game to my library on my mac and it says i can't play it (but i already knew this) the only true option it gives me is to install it which i can't.
The Ultimate Edition is just a pack of the base game and DLC. It is listed in the Library as the normal version of New Vegas. It will not say New Vegas Ultimate Edition.

But then why does Fallout 3 say Game of the Year Edition? And not FNV?

Who knows, but that's the way it is.

You can see which DLC you have even if the game's not installed. I get the impression this might be resolved, but right click the game and choose properties. There will be a DLC tab, check there. I got FONV and then the Ultimate edition, it didn't changed from FONV on the game list. If you bought the Ultimate edition, the DLC should be associated with your account.

See i dont see that. The only tabs are General, Update, Local
files, and language.
Don't click Properties. Right Click New Vegas and about 2 options down from the top you should see View Downloadable Content.

Or go to the New Vegas folder, go to the data folder inside it, and see if the files for the DLC are in it.

Interesting. I still had the DLC tab even when I had just the base game. Have you tried verifing the file cache?

Another thing you can try is to open the game, so you have the splash menu. Under one of the options (Data Files, I think?) you'll see a checklist for what the game runs. After upgrading to the Ultimate Edition, the DLCs were unchecked by default, but once I checked it all off, everything worked.

The way to be sure: boot up New Vegas, and go to the main menu. Click the menu labeled "Downloadable Content." It should list all the DLC. If it does, you're alright. I thought I had the same problem when I first bought the game, so don't feel bad. : ]
