Hunting Scope Problems

I have looked online and it all says i can buy a scope for my hunting rifle from 188 trading post, gunrunners, and blake from the crimson caravan. i have checked all their stocks multiple times and never have seen a scope for sale. Are there certain requirements for it to show up in their stock?

Nope, much of the vendors' stock is randomly picked from a larger list. Your best bet is to wait a few in-game days and try again. Since there's no time limit in the game you can keep doing this until they have the parts you want in stock.

I think what is available is partly based on your leval and your skill points in that catagory. And the availability may be more random than that guide maker thought. I have seen a lot of false statements in guides.

Try these as well. No other vendors other than the ones you mentioned carry it.

shout to spiderman hunting scope aint found one in my travels yet and have been trekking some hours still no rifle scope even murdered boone but he didnt even have rifle show up on corpse.

About the time you finally get a hunting rifle scope, you will be able to get a sniper rifle, which has a scope from get-go and is a much superior weapon IMO. Especialy with the mod that makes it half weight.
