When you use the console to give yourself 5M caps and utterly shatter the game's economy and piss on the remains, that's called cheating. (Not something I've done, just an example pulled from my nether regions)

As a signifier that you've found a pair, more than one of those weird symbol gibberish things will be highlighted.
