where are the screenshots stored?
i've taken a few of a bug i'm having, but can't seem to find where they're stored in my game files. driving me nuts! i know i must be missing something obvious. best place to hide something is right out in the open. ;-)

Steam\userdata\<your Steam ID>\760\remote\22380

Are you running fnv4gb.exe? If you use that you can't take screenshots with Steam. Run FNV normally through Steam and the screenshots folder should popup when you exit the game.

yep. that's what it was. when Mauno reminded me they are stored in steam, i found there were none and launched from steam. sure enough, they started showing up! thank to both of you for the help!
i got another question now though. will the 4gb program still work if i launch from steam, or do i have to launch the game from it's .exe to take advantage of it? i'd like to be able to take screenshots once in a while. i guess i could figure out the "print screen" button if i have to, but i've never really used it.
thanks again in advance! :-)

You can replace FalloutNVLauncher.exe with the 4gb fix's exe, and get all the in-game Steam features and the ability to just launch the game from your library and get all the benefits of the 4gb fix.

sorry. i'm not following you. i installed the 4gb program and ended up with shortcut on my desktop called FN4GB shortcut. it leads to f:\fn4gb.exe. not sure about the 4gb fix exe you speak of. is it in there with the rest of the files? or is it something i need to dl from the nexus to add to this program?

Back up FalloutNVLauncher.exe (rename it to something else or move to another folder).

Move fn4gb.exe and all other files in the same folder to NV's root folder.

Rename fn4gb.exe to FalloutNVLauncher.exe. Steam will now launch the 4gb fix when you launch the game through your library.

It's just the fn4gb.exe. Didn't remember the original name of the file, that's all.

thanks, i'll give that a try. how will i know if the 4gb is still working when i launch through steam afterwards?

You won't get the normal launcher with the graphics options and such. The game will just load straight to the main menu.

ok. thank you very much!

No problem.

If you do encounter any issues with it, please do tell. I've personally used this method for 3 years now, but some people seem to have some problems with it.

another way to find them...if all else fails, is to go into the steam folder...it seems the 4gig loader changes the file to "0" Here's where my screenshots were all hiding...: C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\userdata\<ID number>\760\remote\0 The uploader doesn't recognize the "0" file as valid (unless if you go through Steam, as above)...Ok...now, you can copy/paste the screenshot files over to the 22380 file (same location as the "0" file) this is the file the uploader uses to allow Steam Cloud to use the files...I went ahead and ran shortcuts to my desktop to make it simple, I use the default install address, so, your initial drive may be different (or whatever...but from "steam" it should be easy to find...), be sure to copy/paste over the thumbnails too...it will ask if it's ok for overwrites every time, which is normal...and ok to do...
