To the people that use the Unlimited Companions mod
Do you see any disadvantages? You had any problems with it?

The only disadvantage I found is that if you like to be sneaky, well... let's say having 12 companions behind you isn't good

lol, yeah that could be a problem, and the companions quests? No problem there?

I have 6 followers atm, no problems at all

The only real problem is the game is not expecting you to have multiple companions - if you run around with more than 3 they will sometimes block doors and passageways in tight areas. And some of the best home mods (Mobile Bus for one) are difficult to use since they all block everything inside.

No problems running companion quests - no new bugs introduced, only the already existing ones.

On the plus side - its great to run around with a team - the combat AI for the ranged characters is decent (melee run into line of fire and die right away). Though make sure you have them set to not enter combat until you do and exit when you stop - otherwise some of them will run half way across the desert to kill that last molerat and pick up adds like crazy.

*Some* people complain because it makes the combat too easy - *I'm* not playing a shooter so that's not an issue for me.

...hehehe, yeah...it's not fun when your buddies run off, and set off frag mines, killing themselves (in Hardcore), or you, in the process...having your own "mule-train" is a plus for scavenging, um..."prospecting"...on the down-side, they do tend to steal your kills, especially when you are trying to get achievements like "White Line Terror" or "Cracker Jack Timing" or, some of the others...but, you always have the option to make them wait around somehwere else while you go off and take care of business on your own...and yeah, forget about sneakin' around with seven guys in full armor, chatting it up, with a dog, a couple clunky robots, and a hulking super-mutant in tow...if you want to see something like that...and how it really works...watch AlChestBreach's Youtube series on playing heavily modded New Vegas http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvIL0fhX8_NOvL3D0hUmiIw (which is damn hilarious...) you may want to get Groovatron...so you can move your buddies out of the way in tight spots...or just make them stay still and wait without going through the commands wheel thingy...

You gonna get stuck in the wall when change to smaller cell, get in some narrow way. And if they start fighting right away in the entrance, you may get screwed.

Using it, but not a single companion.

I have FO NV in the original non-steam version (which BTW is identical to the one sold on steam) though I may have to buy the steam version (my dvd's are a bit old) and I've used this mod in the past and my advice for anybody looking for it - Google it!
