(Side-Plot Spoilers) Unmarked Quest Broken B/C Bug. Can CC fix it?
I've enjoyed playing FNV so far w/ a few mods but 6 or so hours into my playthrough I had a bug on the unmarked quest, "Andy and Charlie" - or the quest where you can tell Ranger Andy what happened at Ranger station Charlie.

This requires finding an audio log (there's 2 inside the station) - both of which I found.
The bug is that only the 1st one will play when i click on it (can't play the one needed to tell Ranger Andy). When I click on the 2nd literally nothing happens on the screen where it shows the time of the log.

B/c of this the quest is unbeatable but I should be able to bypass it w/ CC. My problem w/ that is that b/c this is a sidequest that is unmarked I can't find its quest id anywhere to use CC on it.

This is a minor sidequest but this bug still frustrates me so if anyone knows where to get its quest id and stage ids or a different fix plz let me know. Thanks for reading my first forum post!

I read the wiki and it is a known bug. I couldn't find anywhere that had a fix for it. Best I can suggest is to load a save before you first talked to Ranger Andy and hope it works the second time.

I the problem is I already talked to him about it 2 hours back in the playthrough so i'd have to backtrack quite a bit.

set "84223".nRangerStationCharlieStage to 30

Edit: stupid wiki

Edit2: Returning to the desk where you found the holotape will set the above variable.
There's no need to use the console command.

That's incorrect. You need to use the code "84223"

Took a LOT of trial and error to finally solve this one.

I know this is an old thread, but by any chance were you guys using YUP during your play through?

Cause I recently switched from MMUE to YUP. In MMUE sometimes one of the holodisk wouldn't spawn, while in YUP it seems like the second holo disk is always broken.

The trigger box that sets the variable is by the desk which had the holotape underneath it.
Stupidly it only checks if you have the holotape when you enter the trigger box, so it won't set the variable if you manage to pick up the holotape without entering or re-entering the box once you do have the holotape.

Returning to the trigger box is all that is needed.
This means that you shouldn't ever need to use the console command above.

You don't even need to listen to the holotapes.
