I need help with NVSE

Hello, I bought Fallout NV today, only because I wanted to try it with mods. But I can't get this ♥♥♥♥ to work. I've only got about 20, and some of them (Project Nevada) require NVSE to work. The problem is that the piece of ♥♥♥♥ program doesn't work for ♥♥♥♥. I installed everything just like the read me says, and it doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work. I've been installing, un-installing and looking for fixes everywhere, but this thing doesn't work. I'm getting really frustrated. I click the NVSE loader, and it just gives me a black screen and "FalloutNV has stopped working". ♥♥♥♥ this tool. Any help would be great.

Try disabling all mods and re-enabling them one by one and ty to start the game after each one. The instant black screen before the game even starts usually means that a mod is conflicting with another and the game can't run both.

I know what's causing problems, it's any mod that requires NVSE. SInce almost all mods require this, I need NVSE. The problem is that NVSE won't install properly. Despite doing everything correctly.

A very nice guide, but despite following his directions to the letter, my problem is unsolved. I launch, get to the first intro screen, black screen, then crash.

1. Launch Game
2. Get to logo screen
3. Black Screen
4. Crash To Desktop

You may want to replace your d3d9.dll file in your Fallout NV folder, you can download one off the internet.

did you install nvse first and see if you installed it right? this black screen to desktop is probably a problem with the mods you installed, not nvse.

deactivate all mods, then start up the game and open up the console and type "getnvseversion" w/o the " "

if it says "not found" then it is not installed properly

100% NVSE will not cause your game to crash. installing mods incorrectly or not having what is required for the mods or incompatibilty with other mods will do it every time tho.

Welp, I deactivated all the mods, and still get a load order crash. Wow.

best thing to do is to start fresh man. don't install a bunch of ♥♥♥♥, do a couple at time and see if it works. then do a couple more and see if everything is gravy, and keep going.

Yeah. Just uninstalled all mods and verified game cache. Vanilla works. Modding one at a time now.
