Hopefully this will work because it really should.
Allways use the FNV4GB.exe once youve installed NVSE and 4GB.
Thats what I used, for a second I though I messed something up.
Oh ok, good then.
The biggest problom I have is that if I didn't use MO, my mods didn't load, no programs were able to detect the pluginlist.
I assume you tried NMM (Nexus Mod Manager)
Just to clarify:
-Do you have a clean install of Fallout (as in no mods installed at all), apart from NVSE and 4GB, correct?
-What do you mean by detecting mod list?
-Where are your mods currently located?
1.No, I had some light gameplay mods like Project Nevada.
2. Like finding the updated mods list with the latest installed mods.
3.Desktop>Mod Organizer>mods
So you manually installed mods and expected them to come up in the mod manager?
Or you installed them using the Mod manager?
Yes thats correct then I found the NMM Import feature and installed them that way. Originally I worked off having NMM control the mods and launch though MO. Then I imported them. Now I have given up on playing NV, again.
If you installed your mods manually, and then through NMM, it will have messed something up because nexus has no original files to refer too.
By the sounds of it you installed your mods wrong and messed up your Fallout files.
Sorry to say this but, you should reinstall New Vegas and do it again. Unless you can:
-find all the files you manually added
-delete the files they placed on the game directory
-and then verify the integrity of the game using steam.
Which would be a real pain in the arse and would take forever. Especialy if you manually installed Project Nevada (a large overhaul).
Its best not to bother installing mods manually, just use NMM. When on nexus use the NMM download option and install that way. Its safer and far far far easier than manually installing.
Along with the BOSS tool, it is very easy since BOSS automatically configures your load order for you.
If you installed all your mods manually there is no way for NMM to pick the mods up properly or even at all.
You need to use NMM to download/ import and install, otherwise everything gets messed up.
Forget about MO until you get the game working, it seems to only over complicate simple things and NMM is just fine.
All you need is NMM and BOSS to install and get a working load order.
Obviously after installing NVSE, the 4GB NVSE plug in and AII (archive invalidation invalidated)
Best thing to do is start fresh again. I had to do it before, I know what its like but its all part of the learning process of modding Fallout.
1.BOSS and LOOT didn't detect my updated loadorder, neither did NMM or FOMM. Only MO did.
Did you install the mods manually?
I am almost certain BOSS cant work with manually installed mods.
Along with NMM.
BOSS uses load order files from NMM, NMM needs to have installed the mods for BOSS to work.
