Get Nexus Mod Manager, that would probably be the easiest for you. When it's set up click download with manager on the files that you want in the files section. The data file is necessary so you must download that in all cases, you only need one of the rest of the four main files.
There are two different vehicles to choose, a truck and a van, and each have a Sortomatic version available. Sortomatic allows you to sort your items into the appropriate containers automatically, but it requires the Sortomatic mod and NVSE.
Simply choose the appropriate file for your wishes and download with manager.
1. You must create a nexus account, be logged in and have cookies enabled inorder to download NMM[nexus mod manager] and to be able to use NMM to download and install your mods for you.
2. When downloading any mod with NMM, always first read the entire discription and make sure what requirements the mod has for it to work. For example, Many mods require NVSE[New Vegas Script Extender] for them to work. Some mods also require another mod be downloaded for it to work. AND make sure that your pc can handle the demands of any graphics, weather and quest mods you want.
3. NVSE can be found at silverlock.org. Here's the link; http://nvse.silverlock.org/
It must be unpacked, it's a .rar file. I recommend 7-zip to unpack it with if you don't already have a program to do it. Here's the link; http://www.7-zip.org/ Choose the download for your system, 32 or 64 bit.
Once you have NVSE downloaded and unpacked, copy and paste or drag and drop its files into your MAIN NV game folder, not the data subfolder as you would when manually installing mods. You game folder is located in C:/ program files/files86/Steam/steam apps/common/Fallout New Vegas. Just place the files in there AFTER you have NMM installed and in the tools menu of NMM you will see "custom launch options", choose to launch with NVSE. You Must launch the game with it or your mods that require it won't work.
***All of the above downloads are Free. They cost you nothing. When you sign up with nexus, just decline the premium membership. There is no cost to use nexus.
Good luck and have fun in the Wasteland. :)
Sorry for the inconvenience (
Thanks in all cases.
Since you already have them downloaded, go into NMM and find the Mobile Truck Base files on your mods list.
Activate the "Moblie Truck Base - Data" file first, as it contains all of the core basics of the mod.
Now activate the "Mobile Truck Base - MTB Crate Truck" file. If you have the Sortomatic version it will be the same process.
That should be it. It doesn't seem like you can use any of the optional color files as they only work with the van though, so you don't have to worry about those since you want to use the truck.
