I managed to contact one of the administrators to enquire courteously (no ranting, just stating I was not notified of the ban nor aware of any offense that might have resulted in the ban) about the unexpected banning.
The admin took a couple of days to enquire with the other admin / moderators, found nothing that could lead to a ban, and reinstated my account. I have no further issues - the admin admitted it might have been an error and I accepted it.

If you look up your profile you see if someone's banned+the forum thingy is also a good place to look if its what you said or a ban if your name pops up
Well, that's slightly more understandable. However, as it has been documented several times, the Nexus staff aren't very tolerant people. They will absolutely take your anger at a situation to be anger at everyone in general. Try submitting that slip, and then never say anything on their forums. Just don't. It's a hell of a lot safer and kept me from being banned.

I was banned from this very forum for about four days. A troll came to town, I got involved in an argument with him, spammed some messages. I deserved it. To borrow from Sheriff Meyers, I'm not sorry for what I did but I will do the time.

This behavior, if implimented from the webmaster himself is highly unacceptable. We as the people shouldn't tolerate this foul play being put in place. So those who still have modifications on that site, it is strongly encouraged you remove your files from that site, in fact ALL of your content and get it uploaded elsewhere. Every time, a new player from the block signs up on the Nexus just for the sake of the mods, yet they don't realize moderation corruption still goes unchecked.
This support for a draconian criminal cartel styled site like the NexusMods has to end. This cannot go on. I was fed up enough leaving the site because I won't let myself be harassed, threatened or bullied by one of their ban-happy moderators, but now I'm royally p*ssed off I'm hearing stuff like the Nexus wants to conquer and take over the video game industry, just so they can have influence to ALL mods made by various developers like myself, then looking for a reason and simply say "F**k you. You can't have our mods, we can do whatever we want, and you can't do anything about it.". Clearly this seems to be the message they're trying to give. You need to stop feeding the beast before it becomes too powerful to stop.
Just something -all- of you should consider... I too have announced my resignation in anger, and I have no plans of going back. And I still haven't thus this day. There is a saying you keep pushing a man one too many times, and one day he will eventually push back. I understand your temper, and it's nothing to be ashamed of, to the writer of this article himself...
