Ulysses vs Joshua Graham

Who would win in a one on one fight between the two? If you wanna bring up actual stats that's fine, but I'm just curiouse and looking for personal opinions. Personally, i'd have to go with Joshua Graham.

Again only game play wise. Lore wise Joshua Graham would kill.

They're both my favourite characters (alongside Raul, who's just awesome), but I think Ulysses. Ulysses is an agent, who worked and fought alone. Graham was a general, he fights best in command. In a 1v1, Ulysses.

Realistically, Ulysses should win. Having 10 in every SPECIAL stat helps, with the fact that he has some very powerful weaponry.

I'd rather see Graham win though. That badass is a lot more aggressive in gunfights and easily kills any White Legs tribal he encounters with his .45 much better than I can with my Dinner Bell.

Graham won in a fight. NpcWars proved that. And again lore wise Joshua Graham would wreck.

Actually half his legion. Caesar went as far to destroy a whole city to kill him. Caesar was afraid of him.

No, he is just a human, Ceasar wants him erased from history as the original intent of "killing him" was to show that failure would not be tolerated and show an example

As far as in game stats, Ulysses is something like always 10 levels higher than the courier (I do remember the exact figure off the top of my head). So a level 50 courier gives a beast Ulysses. Which would probably own Joshua Graham.

From a lore standpoint , nothing really indicates that Ulysses comes even close to the brutality of Graham, or the war experience. I think from a lore standpoint, Joshua Graham would win.

Holy crap, what revived this thread?

Anyway, I guess I'll throw my lot in too. Stat wise, Ulysses is better. But, as said before, when the two NPC's were spawned and forced to fight in NpcWars, Joshua won. But, who REALLY cares about who would win stat wise? That's boring.

Lore-wise, Joshua hands down. It's hard for me to side with Ulysses on anything in the first place (For obvious reasons), but I don't think he'd stand a chance. We can argue all day whose been through more sh!t and how f*cked up they've been, but in terms of actual combat, Graham is just superior. They're both close-ranged fighers and, as we all know, Joshua is a warlock with that .45. It is a superior weapon to Ulysses' semi-auto. I also believe Joshua is just a better marksmen than Ulysses. And, before someone brings it up, Joshua would mow Ulysses' A$$ down before he even made it close enough to use that stupid flag pole.

It doesn't really matter anyway. The most realistic outcome is that, the second the two meet, Ulysses would start going on about bears, bulls, tunnelers, machines, divides, red people, and mailmen instead of actually fighting, causing Joshua to pistol whip him into oblivion...which would earn a standing ovation from myself.

Well there is that bit about Joshua that, what ever you do to him, he just won't die.

In the game he was supposed to be in (Van Buran), you were to find him hanging by the neck from a pole.

My vote will always be for Joshua Graham, the most bad*ss motherf*cker to ever walk the wastes.

That being said, I looked up the NpcWars video, and unless it's a different video than the one y'all were referring to, Joshua and Ulysses each won two rounds. They're really a pretty even match.

If it's the same video, it pointed out the times during each fight where Ulysses was apparently using stimpaks. Don't know how true that is or not. If it is, then it could be said Joshua was doing more damage and would've killed him everytime were it not for the stimpaks.

It's too bad there was never an option at the end of the DLC to convince Joshua to go back to the mojave with you and seek revenge against Caesar (as a companion). Would be sweet to wander the mojave with that man.

It was however planned to be able to have Ulysses as a companion but it was scrapped, can still be done with mods
