Character is moving way too fast.
My character is moving too quick. He runs way quicker than he should. Forcing him to walk helps, but then everything is too slow. I recently installed TTW. I never had this problem before.

Everything else seems to be running at normal speed. It's just my characters movement speed. It's not gamebreaking, but it's really annoying because my character moves way faster than he should.

Any help?/strike]

-edit Nevermind I fixed it.

You've somehow modified the speedmult of your character. To fix it, you need to bring it back down to the default value of 100. To find out what the current value is, enter:
Player.GetActorValue SpeedMult
Then use this to subtract however much you need from that value:
Player.ModActorValue SpeedMult [VALUE]

This change will not be active until an actor (in this case, you) re-evaluates its speed. This can be done by changing sneak state or holstering / unholstering a weapon.

Thanks, but when I checked my Speed it was already at 100. So something else must be making my character move too fast.

Do you happen to have the Travel Light perk?
MTV Mar 19, 2015 @ 2:33am
No I just started a new game I'm only level 2. I've had the travel light perk before and it didn't make my character move that fast.

I'm pretty much running vanilla aside from TTW that is.

I have TTW, the Fallout 3 esms, Some optional plugins for TTW. Apart from that. I have NVSE, FNV4GB,NVAC, Stutter remover.

Other then that I'm running a stock game. I did a clean install of FNV to try out TTW. I've never had this issue before. Something funky is going on with my game.

Maybe your game is running at a better fps than your normal mod load.

It honestly can effect how fast things move.

I fixed it. Stutter remover FPS management was the cause. I turned off the FPS management in the Ini. Files. It's gone now.

Ugh.. Nevermind, still not fixed. I thought it was fixed at first, because my character seemed to be moving normally at first. I even tried putting my character in Power armor with a two handed weapon... He was still moving too fast. I also drastically reduced my movement speed in the console. I still was moving faster than I should.

Nothing I try works. I've never had this problem with F03 or New Vegas before. Vanilla and modded. At this point I'm considering just deleting TTW and going back to New Vegas.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my computer hates this mod. What a shame, everything else seems to be working okay. It's just this speed issue driving me insane...

-Edit 2. I found one solution. Unfortunately it creates a new problem. Enabling FPS clamp in the Ini files fixes the Hyper running speed. The problem is; this makes everything slow-motion...

-Final edit. I finally fixed it by uninstalling TTW and just going back to New Vegas. I couldn't stand my character running around like he was smoking crack.

Nothing is this thread is relevant. It's all outdated information from years ago, and the problems were related to not actually reading mod descriptions.

Which is likely your issue as well - install NVTF correctly, set the ini up properly, problem solved.
