If you want, you can explode the dam during the final quest though. Or at least cause a meltdown and make it completely useless.

It`s the easiest kind of "evil" though, which is why it`s so popular. Unless you`re a cleric or otherwise philosophy based character you shouldn`t be allowed to get away with "for the sake of it" as a evil motivator though.
