Recover the default running animation
Hello,

I've modded HEAVILY my game and changed the running animation.. I didn't realize it was the one from Fallout3 (the chicken wings) so I want to get rid of it and get the old one back..

The thing is, even when the mod itself uninstalled, the animation stays;
Even going to Data -> Meshes -> Characters -> _male -> Locomotion -> female to delete mtfastforward.kf and mtforward.kf, the wrong animation is still here and even worse the female folder doesn't recreate these two files so I'm running without a running animation ...?

I don't really get it, so if anyone has any clues on how to recover the default running animation for female that would be.. Best. :D:

Thanks !

What mod did you install exactly? Have you tried verifying files?

^ This one

And no I didn't, I'm afraid to lose everything if I do the files verification. :stress:

Have you tried deleted all of that mod's files? What I usually do in a situation like this is extract the download and see what files it added and which ones need to be deleted. I opened the mod you used and there are loads of different animation files, so it's likely different ones than the ones you manually deleted have changed the animation.

Yup I got rid of the entire locomotion folder and it went back to normal.. I'm going to add all of these one by one and see which one I don't want.

Thanks for your help :D:

I do know what you mean. I went through a similar thing with a rifles animation replacer. I still don't get why the hand doesn't quite touch the foregrip, but hey, it works.

I assume you have uninstalled the game, bought a new PC and had to start from scratch, got married, had children and never launched Fallout again, regressed to table top games like RISK and threw out your PC, reinstalled your game and actually fixed your problem or any combination of these things. It's been almost 3 years after all since this post. If not, and you are staring at a long dead install of your game... start over with Mod Organizer. I don't know how anyone can mod a Bethesda game and not use it since it will solve your original problem by simply turning off the mod from loading. Since all installs are actually separate from the base original game, you will always be able to go back to Vanilla (run animations in this case). Easily.
