There is another post here with a list of simple fixes- New Vegas can have issues without some simple community-made fixes. YUP and NVAC and whatnot- there is a good list on the forum right now that has everything that I can't think of currently.

OP hawe well-known problem with DX9 support broken in W11 and partially W10 on Intel and sometimes nVidia AMD drivers
so - use DXVK
NVAC - are OUTDATED bugged fix for random crushes - never use it on OS newer than W7
DXVK on Windows is, well, not ideal, dx to vulkan instruction translation when you have native dx at your fingertips is just adding overhead for no reason whatsoever other than to waste electricity I guess... just grab a deprecated DX9 legacy install, if you want to test if that's your issue. (you can install the .dlls in the game directory or system-wide just running the setup, it can co-exist with DX12 fine) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

though it might not solve your issue, so if that doesn't resolve it, just tell us what puts your pixels on your screen, and we can tell you what fakey graphic .dll to drop in your game directory to make everything happy; it's case-by-case, intel iGPUs need this, AMDs might need that other that lies and says it's an nvidia card, etc.
I’ve certainly used nvac and had it prevent ctds and I have not used win7 since….. I can’t remember but a whole.
Not saying there isn’t anything better- haven’t needed it in years- but it CAN help.
