Favorite weapon or equipment switching?
Do I have to go into the Pip-boy every time to change a gun? Can they be set for keys somehow?

I see the #2 key changes ammo type in current weapon, so Im guessing they may not have quick switching in the game? IDK can't seem to find anything in the settings.

Anyone know?

You can set hotkeys by holding a number key and clicking an item in your inventory. 2 is reserved for switching ammo and can't be hotkeyed otherwise.

Yes which if you done some reseach you would have found out..

Click on an item and hold any one of the numbers on your keyboard 1- 9 and left click to assign it to the number that was held in.

So i have power armor. I want to press number 2 to equip it so what i do is equipt the armor first then hold in number 2 and left click the armor to assign it to number 2.
well I searched discussions for favorite weapons... may have been helpful if I searched "HOTKEY" but didn't know that is what they were called.

But thank you for the detailed description on how to set it. Much appreciated on the fast replies!!

No problem brother. Might i ask somthing though... I see a large number of new players coming in which is evident by the forums, How has it taken this amount of years to play fallout
Had F3 years ago, I dislike Steams ability to take your game, plus I am more of a FPS kind of guy... as fun as theses game are I just get tired of them after a while and want to do some mindless killing... still have plenty of great games to enjoy... never needed the latest and greatest... often better looking means worse gameplay, new games have bug issues.

The only reason I got this game now was because my fave game KF started KF2 and I can't run it... so having steam wallet money to burn is an evil temptation.

I got Skyrim for pretty much the same reason, being steam only I normally never would have bought it intentionally, but with the money to burn already steam funds, and having enjoyed Oblivion I got it. I was really looking forward to playing a new game with KF2 so I had to use that expectation someplace to be happy.

F3 NV - I got now and set up, but I may not play it for some time... perhaps months or even a year or more.. IDK I am just now getting bored of the RPG thing with Skyrim so I'll be focusing more on KF again.. but it was on sale so cheap, and those tempting funds just sitting there, I just got it to have it ready for me when I feel like it... joystick setup ready to go... just click play.
