Take a political quiz, and say who you support in New Vegas...
So I'm shamelessly ripping this idea off of the Bethesda Fallout New Vegas forums where im a regular and a member there already came up with this idea. (ps, despite it being the bethesda forums, there are still a lot of Fallout purists that arent happy with the direction Bethesda has taken the franchise). But it seems people have been having fun with it, and it promotes conversation about the factions in New Vegas.

But anyway, how this works is you take this generic Political quiz, it tells you what sort of idealogy your answers put you in, and then you say what faction in New vegas you support the most, if it was you in the world of Fallout (not your characters).

So here's the link to the quiz http://www.abtirsi.com/quiz2.php

Update June 19th 2017. Due to a suggestion by a member here, I am adding this more in depth quiz to the thread.

So here's what I got:

You are a: Objectivist Anti-Government Non-Interventionist Nationalist Progressive

Collectivism score: -100%
Authoritarianism score: -33%
Internationalism score: -17%
Tribalism score: 17%
Liberalism score: 50%

I'd say that i self identify as a somewhat right leaning libertarian/objectivist. I personally believe in little government in the lives of people and that people can take care of themselves and progress humanity that way.
I believe in little to no corporate welfare, i would personally want a government that is the opposite of a welfare state, and a free markets regulate themselves. Drugs would be legal for all citizens and it would be up to them to decide as adults whether or not to do said drugs and risk their own life, and the rest would take care of themselves (junkies will kill themselves by overdosing or whatever).
The government's role would be very minimal, just there to build the roads and infrastructure, and enforce the basic laws. What people do in their own time is not the business of the government as long as they dont harm other people.

So who do i support in New Vegas? It would be Mr. House. I think he has the best plan for the future, and though he is more authoritarian than i would personally like, i think he is the best chance for the region.
If i had a second choice, it would probably be Indy, and let the people regulate themselves, but with the presence of NCR and legion who want their mitts on vegas, i dont think that would be the best course of action, and it wouldnt last long.

Of course this isnt a complete accurate political test, so take what it says with a grain of salt. Obviously you know best what your political views are, but this is just a guideline, and just for fun.

I'm a Communist Anti-Government Bleeding-Heart Liberal apparently.

Collectivism score: 83%
Authoritarianism score: -33%
Internationalism score: 0%
Tribalism score: -83%
Liberalism score: 33%

Anyway, in New Vegas I usually go with Yes-Man.
psychotron666 Jun 20, 2015 @ 9:25am
Communist, anti government and liberal, you're all over the map hahaha.

In the words of Liberty Prime: Democracy is non-negotiable!

But fair enough, Yes man would probably seem the best bet for someone like that, though i see the Yes Man government more of a transition phase than an endgame like the other factions would be.
Yes man ending is sort of up in the air and can go any way, which is why lots of people can probably relate with it. They keep that ending pretty vague though as to how it turns out in the long run.

Interesting read, never really thought about that sort of ideology. Thanks for the link though, always down for opening my mind to more political ideologies (i like to follow politics across the world as a hobby).
Not that i would personally agree with it for the most part, but i do see the merits in such a government.

You are a: Left-Leaning Anti-Government Non-Interventionist Bleeding-Heart Progressive

Collectivism score: 17%
Authoritarianism score: -17%
Internationalism score: -17%
Tribalism score: -100%
Liberalism score: 67%

Doesn't a Bleeding-Heart Non-interventionist sound kinda... oxymoron-ish?

Anyway, I do prefer the Yes Man/House outcome of things, so I can see how Anti-Government Non-interventionist, fits in there. I always saw Vegas as doing fine (by fallout standards). Granted the NCR brought Sharecropper Farms and the FOTA into the region.

It does seem like kind of a contradiction, i guess you dont think government should involve themselves in people's lives too much, but you still feel sorry for the less fortunate? Maybe you'd like something like a libertarian government, but there to be lots of philantropists who help out the less fortunate on their own with their own money and resources, rather than the government using the money of tax paying citizens to do it?
I'm not trying to assume anything for you, just throwing some ideas around.

Interesting. Do you actually believe Caesar's legion is the best one, if you were in the world of new vegas? Not that i care either way, im just interested to see what it is that appeals to you specifically about their faction. I can see some of the merits of Caesar's legion as well, though i dont personally agree with them as they would probably be my last personal pick for the region.

Collectivism score: 17%
Authoritarianism score: -33%
Internationalism score: -17%
Tribalism score: -67%
Liberalism score: 83%

I so guess each percentage in each category comes with it's own shiney word.
for the record i hit alot of maybes, test probably needs to be a little more specific
while i don't agree with abortions i do believe Suicide and Euthanasia are down to personal choice.
Einlanzer Jun 20, 2015 @ 10:39am
also I tend to lean towards leading vegas myself with the cooperation of the boomers and the bos.

I have to admit that was a certain amount of role-play going on in the answering the questions, mostly as the first time I answered maybe for most things (but i suspect that was just the wording).

In regards to Caesars legion though, depends on your perspective on what constitutes better. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness, probably not.

There is something attractive about the simple answers though, even if they are wrong.

My courier personally became increasingly depraved and sought the simplicity of the Legion worldview. The legion needed a Rome, and the courier helped supply it.

I totally trust these political test as they in no way can show the creators bias. In the US its well known people favor 1 side or 1 group over what the topic is actually about. You have to be liberal and progressive or you have to be republican and conservative. I am not going to trust this test for the same reason I will not trust the tests found about what party I belong in when its election in my own country.

Obviously, neither I nor a few other posters on the thread are from the US. As he said just for fun
