A Tale of Two Wastelands: A highly recommend mod you should try out
With the release of Fallout 4 and the current mandatory steam sale of fallout 3 and fallout New Vegas I just want to throw out the word for anyone who have missed this mod.

What is A Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW)? Its a mod that recreate the full game of fallout 3 with fallout new vegas game engine. It got some bugs in it (like a black man having completely white arms) but is over all extremely good and recreates and improve fallout 3 as FONV just plays better then FO3.

Requirements:
Fallout 3 + all DLC
Fallout New Vegas + all DLC

I normally doesn't mod Fallout 3 or NV but this mod I really really recommend this mod as you can play fallout 3 and NV with the better engine which makes the game play better (if you can ignore the few bugs that exist). You can find TTW on the link below link and if the link doesn't work google for it.

I hope it helps you enjoy both games better because it really helps me enjoy playing the games as this mod is all I ever wanted.

Yeah, best mod ever. Easy to install too, if you follow the instructions carefully.

I had a few troubles in that as it didn't add the parts and gave a error, but for some reasons after I hate eaten dinner a few hours later they was there and working.

Best to use this mod if you using a fresh New Vegas install. Its best if you backup your old mods and saves before you install this mod. Because it will overwrite some files in New Vegas.

its also best to turn off your anti virus when you are running the program as some anti virus will prevent the program from running right and combining the BSA files properly.

I have tried TTW three times and while I love the mod I have never succesfully played it. Whenever I get in certain cells the game crashes; I cannot get within a few hundred yards of Arefu without the game crashing. I have tried two iterations of TTW completly uninstalling both Fallout3 and FNV and reinstalling them but nothing works. Really a bummer as what I have played of it I really liked.

Wow i just wanted to make a topic asking about this, this is perfect :) . What i want to know is are there many bugs and is the character progression just as easy as in F3 where you can max out all your stats easily (i really wouldn't like that). Also, where do you start and how do you start, can you complete one first, then come to the other with a level 30+ for example. I have so many questions about this xD

The perk almost perfect do exist yes. so maxing out your special is doable and geting all skills at 100 is possible as well as there is a lot of skill books laying around if you use them correctly.

You can start in NV or Fallout 3, but its recommended that you start with FO3 as you are.... well born in Fallout 3 and not NV. It should be strange to go from adult to baby. You can travel between the games using a train but that station is damn hard as its filled with super mutants that haven't eaten in a long time, so its kind of a late game thing for Fallout 3 unless you want to cheat. The only bugs I found so far are sound bugs and a black guy having white arms (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blackface, are you taunting me?), I haven't visited Arefu so I can't confirm it is buged.

So you basically come to Mojave maxed out and you bring Fawkes too and you two can then go on and make a completely new republic where you can make everyone your slave because of how op you are?

Arefu works fine, no bugs there.

No, I think companions have to stay where they are. But I haven't tried as I don't play with companions. You can come to NV maxed out however, that is NP.

I saw a post on reddit where someone said he brought Boone to DC so you can probably bring them. What about NV achievements, do they work with this mod?

I'm happy for you CloudSeeker but that in no way solves my problem.

Well it might have been patched away if you played the mod a long time ago. It work at least in the version I got.
