Who Keeps Skilled Trait Till The End?
Skilled is widely considered the best trait in the game due to all the free skill points you get and the fact that the penalty to experience is rendered redundant by all the experience you can get in the game and it's still easy to reach level 50.

I tend to choose both Skilled and Good Natured at the start of the game for higher skill levels and an easier time passing skill checks. Later on, I tend to swap them out for something better in Old World Blues. Since the Skilled Exploit is fixed in the YUP patch which I'm using, I'm wondering if it is good to keep for the end of the game or if it should be swapped with another trait later on. I would think that once you hit level 50, both the benefit and the penalty are both useless.

Who here keeps Skilled to the end of the game? Or is it better off swapped from something else at Old World Blues?

Does that YUP patch revert the +5 to all skill once you replace it by an other trait ? If not then you're still "exploiting" the skilled trait.

"Once you hit level 50", almost everything you have in the game is useless because there isn't anything left to do in the game.

+5 to all skills at character creation for a completely inconsequential xp penalty is the absolute best pro/con ratio of all traits. The others either do nothing noticeable or have an overwhelmingly bigger penalty like built to destroy. Exception is wild wasteland that is just a matter of taste.

If I choose it, I don't cheat with it doing the rebuild or reselecting in OWB.

there is nothing better than +5 to all skills. So if you keep that you're not swapping, you're abusing the nature of the perk again ?
I would think that the extra points would be useful for a low intelligence character. So unless I want Wild Wasteland, a normal intelligence character could pick something better. Don't you agree?
For Gavin I do good natured and small frame as a diplomat character.

For Caleb I do fast shot and hoarder as a soldier

For Cheryl I do kamikaze and trigger discipline as a stealth sniper

For Darren I do fast shot and kamikaze as as a one armed pistol vig

For Katherine I do 4 eyes and skills as a scientist build

For sophia I do Logan’s loophole and built to destroy as just some ditz who’s plain lucky

For Rebecca I do fast shot and hot blooded for a wastelander build

For David I do heavy handed and wild wasteland since he is just a lunatic.
