New Vegas Update following season 2 of the show?
with the potential rise in popularity following season 2 of the prime series, do you guys think that Bethesda/Microsoft would go back and update new vegas to where its actually playable without mods, or am i just hopelessly hoping?

If I were you, I would keep my expectations very low that anything is going to happen.

Slopthesda should keep their hands off this game.

The amount of years of work it would take for them to make it functional without mods is work they will never commit to.

Just look at FO4 "next gen" for an idea of how that works. Broke all existing mods, didn't fix any bugs - literally not a single one. Introduced a whole slew of new bugs. Didn't add support for things that mods already have like DLSS.

Any NV update would end up giving you a categorically worse game with more bugs, not less.

This would be a waste of resources and money trying to fix their older games because fixing bugs could lead to even more bugs or break mods like they did with Fo4.

Wouldn't be very profitable to them they should know to not repair certain things by now no?

If this were to be announced, I would go double check that my Steam auto updates for Fallout: NV are disabled.

Or just use the GoG version - Steam's (completely ineffective) DRM and overlay uses memory in the NV process, making the game less stable overall anyway.
