NVTF + DXVK Running at High Framerate - Fixed
When running New Vegas Tick Fix [www.nexusmods.com] and DXVK [github.com] in Windows 10, I encountered a unique situation where my game ran at around 6000 FPS. I don't know how that's possible on my Gigabyte RX 6500 XT OC, but that's what RivaTuner reported, and the in-game menus were certainly acting like it. Symptoms were that one input in my controller translated to about 10 in in-game menus (open-world exploration, shooting, etc. was fine). While using keyboard and mouse, interface-related audio would be extremely buggy (lockpick go brrr at the slightest nudge). So I've detailed a couple of potential fixes for users, although I haven't tested them very much myself.

Option 1:
Disable FPS Fixes in New Vegas Tick Fix's config. Go to the NVTF.ini file and set "bFPSFix" to 0 instead of 1. Then, force a framerate at or lower than 60 FPS (or enable VSync, if your refresh rate matches).

Option 2:
Make a new file called "dxvk.conf" if not already present in your root FNV directory. Add the following lines to it:
[FalloutNV.exe] d3d9.maxFrameRate = 60
This is supposed to limit framerates to the above number, but I found that I still got somewhere in the neighborhood of 238 FPS (actually, it's usually locked to exactly that).

The advantage of option 1, in my experience, is that my game ran at my specified target framerate set by DXVK or my Radeon settings. The drawback is that, without the FPS fix provided by NVTF, the game only supports frame rates up to about 60 FPS.

The advantage of option 2, in my experience, is that I could run my game at a high frame rate with very few issues. With the FPS fix provided by NVTF, frame rates of up to 496 FPS are supported. I tried setting d3d9.maxFrameRate to 144, and that got me locked to 575 FPS. That's higher than the supported limit, but the only thing I observed (from my *very limited testing*) was that the Pip-Boy's map cursor was a bit faster than I would like.

I must stress that not a lot of testing has been done at this point on option 2 specifically. Honestly, if you can, I'd recommend you delete DXVK. I'm just obstinate.

My man, thanks a lot for this information. I was having some severe lag issues after installing DXVK and Texture Preset of VNV and this perfectly fixed it.
