That is the right name. He is just ED-E
Everyone in Honest Hearts just annoyed the hell out of me, I agree with your summary. Follows-Chalk was the only one I didn't literally want to shoot by the time I was done with the questline.
Don't really like the DLC companions all that much, although Christine is kind of cool.
Favorite modded companion would be Willow. Would be nice to have a Legion companion though without having to get the Legion Overhaul mod.
So do I, but that doesn't mean you can't have favourites, I went through all the companion quests despite my solo nature, I wanted to see what the companions were like and frankly, each one has a deep, rich history and interesting story to tell, provided you want to put the effort into getting it. Even boones story is kind of meaningful in a way. I still think boone is a bleeding heart ♥♥♥♥♥ but his story was... interesting.
I kind of wish you could side with Ulysses in the Lonesome Road and get him as a companion, he just... hes so amazing, and he talks about following you, I mean he was stalking you sure, but the fact is I really like his character.
"I don't blame you for the Divide. I blame you for what you made me see."
Fallout new vegas managed to do something fallout 3 lacked, it created characters who were deep, interesting, and I could actually care about. In fallout 3 it was so hard to give a crap about anyone at all, everyone seemed to be trying to get themselves killed. I think Moira from craterside was the only one I could stomach in that game, well her and tenpenny. Moira was at least TRYING to do good for the wasteland, even if she was a complete dunce about it. Tenpenny was just a ruthless old man and I liked that.
"That scrap heap on the horizon was ugly so I asked Mr Burke to blow it up." I love his casual attitude towards slaughter, and the fact he sits in his tower taking potshots with a sniper rifle. Wasteland safari he calls it.
But I mean... Two characters, in a game as big as fallout 3... The companions felt dry and boring. Even dogmeat wasn't all that interesting. The whole game felt a bit... cliche.
Dead Money: i liked God.
Who the ♥♥♥♥ cares about Honest Hearts
Old World Blues: There is only one (I think) and that is a Cyberdog.
You're welcome?
I also love how not a single person has said Rose of Sharon Cassidy is their favourite companion. I ALWAYS kill her... well... give her to jean baptiste. I can't stand Cass she is just a pain in the butt.
