Robo-Scorpions are 2stronk
Bullets don't work well on these things, and 1 clip of the dogminigun (What am I going to do with a dog minigun anyway? Everything is a robot.) is needed to kill ONE. What should I use to kill them?

I use a character that has high science, repair, and barter skills

Proton Axe.
Even with low Melee skill you can hold your own...unless it's really low.

The x2 antenna is great for that

Totally forgot the name, but one of the special laser pistols you get in OWB is awesome for them. Knocks them upside down, then pull out your weapon of choice and finish them off.

12 Gauge slugs and pulse slugs makes scrap metal out of them the hunting shotgun got ammo for any enemy in the game, basicly for all robotics pulse and plasma works well.

the proton axe is really good on those, but if you are not strong or have low HP it would be better to use an energy weapon, in case of guns, only the armor piercing bullets work well but since there are several robo-scorpions in the game you won't have ammo to kill them all, you can try some pulse granades too

Elijah's Jurry-Rigged Tesla Cannon gives you a lot of bang for your buck.
They're basically meat shields; you'll need to use a lot of ammo to kill them if you want to use Guns OR Energy Weapons.. It doesn't help that they have a large amount of DT, so unless you're using AP 5mm, you'll be doing reduced damage with each bullet. It's good for me since by the time I get there I'm swimming in Hand Loader ammo, though. :P

I use pulse shotgun slugs with both perks - knockback and DT reduction. Or go melee with the ranger takedown. Also, I've usually done Dead Money before OWB and I find that the upgraded Holorifle does particularly well with them.

It's difficult to find the location due to the terrain, but it's around the Forbidden Zone. You just need to look past the Legendary Bloatfly's cave a bit.

Get it high enough, and the power attacks will make short work of most everything in the Big Empty.

My melee skill is around 20.
