Spoilers: What is the right way to 100% side with the NCR?
I have my reasons to love the NCR, and I've reached the part when I face to either Disable/Kill Mr. House, help Yes Man, or Destroy/Activate Fortification Hill for Caesar and Mr. House. I also just received a letter from Ambassador Crocker in New Vegas.

What is the correct way, leading me to side with the NCR? Should I just ignore the Mr. House, Yes Man, and Caesar quests, and just go on with doing the NCR quests for Ambassador Crocker ?

Go meet with the Ambassador and do what he says.

And also redirect the power from Helios as Fantastic says.... as much as it may hurt. In my NCR playthrough I helped the misfits the good old fashioned way and turned in Contreras and ranger Harland (a grey choice to be sure, but thats why NV is nifty). Basically help out the various NCR forces at Forlorn Hope, Searchlight, update the ranger station codes, and basically be a good soldier: shutup and follow orders.

Sounds easy enough. I will go deeper into the side-quests for NCR once I reach the critical part before the battle of Hoover Dam. Just want to make sure I get on the correct track in the main quests to side with the NCR. So, just follow Crocker's orders and proceed from there?

The main drawback, afaik, to helping Crocker is that the other main factions wont like you. You do have some wiggle room as to HOW you go about it. I spiked Pacer's jet and killed Papa Khan so Regis could ally the Khans with NCR. But there are several avenues of approach that may fit your style better.
I'd rather help re-build law and order, than crucifying people who don't agree with me, and use slaves for hard work. Of course becoming a NCR citizen is a better choice. The NCR protects their supporters. While the Legion takes what they want, when they want, and how they want.

So, then you'd side with Yes-Man and make New Vegas an independent city-state within the NCR, allowing it to serve as a check on the NCR's more despotic actions. The NCR is not really 'good', only the best of a bad set of options for the greater wasteland (so I sympathize with your support for them) - you have the opportunity to do even better for New Vegas.

Among the things you can do to maximise a pro-NCR ending.

Convince the Khans to side with the NCR and lead an assault on the Legion
Get the Brotherhood to support (sort of, at least stop raiding tech) the NCR
Route power to NCR holdings (at the expense of the greater wasteland)
Route a water supply to a set of NCR farms (to the detriment of an unaligned group)

NCR is hardly the good guy here. Look into the treatment of independent ranchers, and sharecropppers. Murka jr has institutionalized slavery but doesnt have the integrity to admit it.

Screw the legion.

No gods, no masters. Because all the factions, with the possible exception of the Followers, are led by or consist entirely of idiots and/or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The NCR ALSO takes what they want, when they want. They just use a slightly nicer, less barbed, glove to punch you in the face.

Gonna use this and get the perfect NCR ending. Gonna have a good time screwing over the Legion. :P

You can slaughter forlorn hope and lead the khans

Part of the issue with the NCR is that their good intentions get bogged down by the bureaucracy and incompetency of the leadership, bar Chief Hanlon and Ambassador Crocker.

The best results for working with the NCR comes from handling the BoS, Freeside, and the Followers diplomatically.

Great Khans are a tossup, though I personally just wasted them.

I really have to wonder how people find threads like this.

I can see troubleshooting threads, people googling for solutions, finding ancient threads - Steam's SEO is insane. But something like this? How does one even end up here?

Thanks for the input, but I figured it out nine years after posting this. :steamfacepalm:
