I made it painful - I used a mod that strips most of the gold and items that you can loot out of the world and reduces the money available from merchants - so those bars actually represented a feth-huge amount of wealth. Like, enough money to set me up to live like a king for the rest of my life. It was *painful* to only be able to get away with a couple.

Looks like someone missed the voiceovers, and the dialogue, and the whole point of the DLC.
I took them all as well, took me a lot of tries but I got there in the end. Slow walked to the nearest mailbox and sent them over,selling them all to Gun Runners every few days.
Then once I got back to the bunker I emptied it all out on the floor...
