How do you repair your weapons/armor without any weapon/armor of the same kind?
I think this wasn't possible for Fallout 3. But it is possible here? Is there also any mod which lets you repair your equipement without anything else?

You can repair items to 100% regardless of level. Level affects the efficiency of the repairs and allows for the Jurry Rigging perk, which allows you to widen the pool of items that can be used to repair each other. That perk is likely what you are after.

Oh, thank you! :tgrin: It's been a long time without playing FNV, and I forgot about these special perks.

No problem. And yeah, that Jury Rigging perk is the single greatest thing ever.

There are Weapon Repair Kits that do that - I don't know how prevalent they are in the leveld-lists - mainly from the pre-order packs.

WMX or WME adds in kits also (IIRC).

And with a repair skill of 50 you can make your own weapon repair kits.

And if you ain't the type for crafting or using skills, you can ask some Shop NPC's to repair your items for a price.

Raul or the Sink are the best ones to ask for this. They both have repair skills of 100, so they can repair your gear to full condition.

If you have Dead Money, you can...break the damned game if you grab the WRK code in the Police Station.

No problem for me, I've got the Entire Pack Edition -or whatever it's called.

Ultimate Edition. :P
or if you're feeling hackey type player.srm into console and depending on repair level, you can literally self repair. it may say you 'pay X caps' for the repair but since you're the one repairing, you dont lose or gain caps. but note once you do this you HAVE TO SAVE, EXIT THE GAME COMPLETELY AND START AGAIN FROM YOUR SAVE. or else your achievements will be disabled. happy hunting

The NCR major at the Mojave outpost also repairs stuff to 100% I think

Terrible waste of caps. As others have said, the two best options are using Weapon Repair Kits to fix up your weapons or take the Jury Rigging perk (one of my top 3 favorite perks in all my playthroughs of NV.)

It's not like you are literally swimming in caps from mid-game onward XD. At first it's realy pricy, but going there regularily as well as using WRK from time to time to maintain your weapons in good condition make it real cheap.

I generally craft around 4-5 WRK that I keep at all time to make field repairs (if I don't have any weapon to sacrifice for parts) and go to the outpost when I'm between two quest or exploration.

I do go to Raul once I have him as a follower though.

Learn to craft your own Weapon Repair kits. Simple as that.

I generally do not use vendor repairs, as it is waste of caps.
